Education in Nigerian Schools
I am going to present you the school system in Nigeria.
Their system is different, we enter school at 5 years old, the primary lasts 6 years, in France it lasts 5 years. Then the following years are divided into 2 parts, the Junior and the Senior which lasts 3 years each one, we have the same subjects but they study French and not Spanish.
People like sports very much in Nigeria so as a punishment there is no sports, they also have physical punishments which is different from France.
The grades in Nigeria are different, from A1, B2, B3, C4, C5, C6, D7, E8 to F9. A grade is considered good from B3. In the Junior high school which is equivalent to the collège, they also pass exams at the end of the each year. If they fail they repeat the year. It is like that until the end of Senior which is equivalent of the lycée. And they can continue in university after Senior.

Education in Nigeria is overseen by the federal ministry of education. The local authorities have the responsibility to implement the state-controlled policy regarding public education and state schools.
The education system is divided into kindergarten, primary education, secondary education and higher education.
Primary education
Primary education begins around the age of five for the majority of Nigerians. Students spend six years in primary school and graduate with a school leaving certificate. Subjects taught at the primary level include mathematics, English, religion, agricultural science, home economics and one of the three major indigenous languages and cultures: Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo. Private schools also offer computer science, French and fine arts. Primary school students are required to take a joint entrance examination to qualify for admission to federal and state secondary schools as well as private schools.
As for the timing, they enter the classroom every day from 8am until 2pm and do not move from one classroom to another. It’s the teacher who moves from one class to another.
Secondary education
Students spend six years in Secondary school, which is 3 years in JSS (Junior High School), and 3 years in SSS (Senior High School). During 3 years of middle school education, students must take subjects such as Mathematics, English, Social Studies, Home Economics or Fine Arts.
The upper secondary curriculum is based on 4 core subjects which are completed with 4 or 5 electives. The core subjects are : English; Maths; economics; civic education. The more optional subjects are Biology, Chemistry, Physics for the science class, English literature, history, geography, agricultural sciences or a vocational subject which includes : bookkeeping, commerce, food and
nutrition, art.
After students can also join a technical college. The curriculum for these also lasts 3 years and leads to a trade/craft certificate.
Private high school
Schools in Nigeria tend to be very expensive with average fees ranging from two hundred and fifty thousand naira to one million naira ($652.00 - $2600.00) per year. These schools have smaller classes (approximately ten to twenty students per class), modern equipment and a better learning environment. Most teachers at these institutions have at least a bachelor's degree in a particular course area and are sent to workshops or short-term programs on a regular basis.
